“Gwen” is a young mother of three and is currently 9 weeks pregnant. * When she discovered the news, she was very excited at first. But as she began to look more closely at her current situation, her excitement gave way to fear.

Gwen and the baby’s father are currently not together, and he is mostly uninvolved in their lives. Though he and Gwen have on-and-off communication and he has expressed a desire to have the baby, he also told her that “I want what is best, and we can’t afford another kid.”

Gwen used to have a steady job, but car troubles forced her to quit. The financial burdens began to mount, and it was not long before she was given an eviction notice. The government assistance she has barely provides basic needs for her family, and she has no immediate support from family.

The fears became too much to bear, and Gwen reluctantly scheduled an abortion on March 4th. Fortunately, she was stopped by a sidewalk advocate and was told about Let Them Live. Shortly after, Gwen quickly made contact with us.

"It would be so hard to abort. But every time I get caught up on bills, another month comes and I fall behind,” she explained to our counselors. Sadly, this is a common occurrence for moms like Gwen. She wants nothing more than to get back to work and provide a good life for her family. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to choose life for her precious baby.
