Emma's Story

Meet Emma's baby
boy,
Enzo!
Emma's Story:

Enzo is so glad to be here with his big brother!

Emma dealt with one of the hardest things a parent faces–a child with cancer. Her almost two-year-old was in the hospital with a tumor in his brain, when Emma found out she was pregnant. She was living with her mother and spending time in and out of the hospital with her son and she was heavily pressured to get abortion so she did.

This abortion was still haunting her when she found out she was pregnant again. Thankfully, her son was recovering from cancer, but he still had a lot of requirements that kept Emma from working. Emma didn’t know if she could bring another baby into the world while she wasn’t working and trying to care for her immune-compromised son. On top of that Emma was told she would “be a bad mother” to her sick son if she had a baby to take care of too.

However, after talking with her counselor, Emma canceled her abortion appointment and began moving forward to make a life for her son and new baby. She was able to find a new apartment, get a job, and find a sitter for her son. So when little Enzo was born Emma felt like she COULD be a good mother to both her beautiful boys!
