Bobbie's Story

Meet Bobbie's baby
boy,
Squire!
Bobbie's Story:

Baby, Squire, is a miracle in so many ways and we are so glad he’s here!

Bobbi was getting help for her anxiety and loved taking care of her special needs daughter and young son. She said that being with her children was when she felt “most like herself”.  However, during a check up after a small car accident Bobbi found out she was pregnant with baby number three she was unsure if she would be able to support and care for her little miracle. Bobbi has had negative experiences with men in the past including the baby's father and felt sure that he would withdraw his support and his car (which was her only source of transportation). She also knew that the rest of her family would not be supportive. Nothing in Bobbi wanted to have an abortion but she felt that the circumstances gave her little choice.

It was during her ultrasound that she was referred to Let Them Live. After crying on the shoulder of her counselor she felt like she finally had someone to support and listen to her! After choosing life, Bobbi felt relieved. Like many mothers, Bobbi experienced some depression but shared that she had a good friend who was also pregnant that helped support her and helped her feel seen. However, money continued to be tight, her relationship with the baby's father continued to decline and she once again considered abortion, until she was awarded a monetary grant that helped with the money concerns.

Once precious little Squire was born Bobbi told her counselor, “I couldn't imagine our life without him. I can't believe I wanted to abort him. Really so thankful for the program.”
