UPDATE: Today, our hearts are shattered as we mourn the loss of Tessa's unborn baby. Tessa initially had an abortion scheduled for today (July 20th, 2024) but was leaning towards choosing life because of your generous support. Sadly, she started bleeding on Thursday, and shortly after, discovered that she had lost the baby. As difficult as this is, she is grateful for each of you. You have changed her life and shown her selfless love, which is a blessing amidst the heartache. Please pray for the physical and emotional healing of Tessa as she is mourning the loss of her precious baby. 💔 -- “Tessa” is a young mother of 3 and is currently 7 weeks pregnant.* Her employment was steady and the relationship with her boyfriend was going well. When she discovered that she was pregnant, everything in her life suddenly fell apart.

Her boyfriend immediately told her that she had to abort. Despite his manipulation tactics and verbal abuse, Tessa did not want to go through with it. As a result, her boyfriend moved away and took the kids with him. This caused Tessa to fall into such a deep depression that it led to her losing her job. Her loss of income eventually led to her being evicted from her apartment. Her family members refused to help her, and she had no choice but to live out of her car. Though she was able to find another part-time job, it has not provided her with enough to build savings for a better life. Her situation began to feel increasingly hopeless. With her kids gone and no one to help her, Tessa began to believe that abortion was the only choice she had. Reluctantly, she scheduled an abortion on Saturday, July 20th. Desperate for a way out, she began looking for resources on social media and came across Let Them Live. After finding us, she quickly made contact.

“I’m not a bad mother. I love my kids, and I want my baby. I just don’t have any support and can’t afford anything,” Tessa explained to our counselors. Unfortunately, there are many moms in Tessa’s position. She truly does not want to abort and wants nothing more than to provide a good life for her family. But her difficult circumstances have led her to believe that abortion is the only choice. It does not have to be this way. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to do what she truly wants: choose life for her precious baby.
