Let Them Live is actively counseling Lydia, a 15-week pregnant mom with an abortion scheduled for Saturday, August 13th*. Lydia was dumbfounded when she discovered she was pregnant. Because of her family's current financial struggle, she panicked. With your support, we know that Lydia will have the confidence to choose life.

Lydia thought there was no way she was having another child, as she regularly took birth control. Since the pill failed, she and her boyfriend, Ray, have been facing a crisis pregnancy at the worst possible time.

Lydia’s boyfriend, Ray, has been out of work due to a back injury, making Lydia the sole provider. Lydia confessed that since his accident, they’ve struggled with no end in sight.

Lydia and Ray are struggling to buy everything they need and their car is about to be repossessed. If this happens Lydia will lose her job as well and her family’s problems will multiply.

It may seem simple to find another job within walking distance, but they live in an economically depressed area with few opportunities. This is why Lydia has had no choice but to drive out of town to get to work. The poor job market has also been a critical factor preventing Ray from finding accommodating work. To deal with this limitation they hoped to move, but since Ray's accident their savings have dried up, making a move impossible.

Lydia and Ray are without a doubt near catastrophe and they’re aware that temporary intervention won't solve their problems forever.

This is why we plan on helping their family move closer to Lydia’s current job. In that area, there will be better opportunities for Ray and their children will even have a safer place to play.

With your support, Lydia and Ray will receive financial and job counseling to develop a strategy for sustaining the new life they will have together.
