Julianne's Story

Julianne suffered the loss of her first child when she was only 17 years old. She believed she’d never amount to anything as a young mother, so she decided to abort. She hasn’t had peace with the procedure since.

17 years later, Julianne faced abortion again but under different circumstances. This time, Julianne was older, wiser and had two boys that meant the world to her. This time she wouldn’t have to go through her pregnancy alone, or so she thought. Her boyfriend wavered on his promise to support and eventually backed out.

Before he left, he claimed that Julianne was illogical for not choosing abortion. He told her that now was not a good time to have a child. As it turned out, he was months into an affair.

Heartbroken and overwhelmed, the temptation to abort haunted her. How could this be? Julianne didn’t want an abortion, but she knew it would be easy to obtain. If abortion weren’t so accessible women would consider more creative solutions.
