Let Them Live is actively counseling Jessica.* Due to already having 4 children and her financial situation becoming unbearable, she scheduled a late-term abortion. She can’t imagine raising a 5th child. We can help her choose life by helping her family become financially stable and advocating for adoption.

Jessica is a single mom of four young children: two girls and two boys. Her children’s father, Patrick, was initially supportive and encouraging, though sadly, the relationship began to fall apart in the last few months. Additionally, the birth of their fourth child was a very difficult experience for them financially and emotionally.

During the pandemic, Jessica and Patrick began receiving unemployment and she became pregnant once again. Now they are trying to rebuild their relationship, but Patrick is also telling her to get an abortion. In addition to this, they were evicted and need to leave their current home by the end of November with nowhere to go. They are both terrified of ending up on the street and afraid of having their kids taken away.

A week ago, her situation became completely unbearable. She contacted a pro-abortion organization, which helped her schedule an expensive 3 day, late-term abortion in a neighboring state. They also connected her with funding to ensure it was paid in full on her behalf.

Upon finding out about her scheduled abortion, her mom Nina pleaded with her to choose life and told Jessica about Let Them Live. Initially, she was hesitant to call but promised she would and thankfully, she did. Our counselors have begun to persuade her that adoption is a viable alternative to abortion. But almost everyone else in her life is telling her that abortion is the only way.

Jessica does not want to abort her baby. But her fears of being homeless with five kids makes it hard to see choosing life as an option. But we know that our community can provide a path forward for Jessica and her family. With a stable home for her family, financial support, as well as coaching and counseling, their situation will be greatly improved.

Together, we can show Jessica that this baby is not a burden but rather a blessing for her and her family. She can give an adoptive couple the baby they so desire, and also get her family back on track. We can walk alongside her during and after her pregnancy and make sure that she can put a roof over her family’s head and feed her children.
