Amanda's Story:

Alana reached out to Let Them Live when she was 8 weeks pregnant. Initially she thought abortion was her best option, but after hearing her baby’s heartbeat thumping away the realization hit her—abortion extinguishes a human life.

Although Alana knew she wanted her baby, she worried about the kind of life her daughter would have. Alana’s boyfriend was against having children, so he threatened Alana and tried to force her to get an abortion. Having grown up in an abusive household, Alana feared that raising a child in these conditions would be catastrophic.

Twice, Alana scheduled an abortion, but the memory of her baby’s heartbeat led her to cancel both appointments.

Alana knew choosing life meant she wouldn’t receive any help from her boyfriend, so we promised to support her as she navigated pregnancy. Thanks to your generous donations, Alana didn’t have to struggle through her pregnancy and was able to prepare for her precious baby girl.
