April's Story

Meet April's baby
boy,
SJ!
April's Story:

Due to the disloyalty of a friend, April and her boyfriend, John, were suddenly facing eviction and the repossession of their car.

Typically the strength that April drew from John would’ve seen her through this crisis, but she felt their circumstances shift out of their control when they discovered they were pregnant. The timing seemed terrible, so the “easy” option of abortion tempted the young couple.

April was torn. In truth, she didn’t want an abortion, so she researched alternatives and eventually stumbled across a Let Them Live documentary. This moved her to seek our help.

Then, while Aaliyah and her Let Them Live counselor were still getting to know each other, April whole life was overturned when John was suddenly murdered.

After this tragedy April could have given up, but she remained strong. She was determined to keep their child, and we were eager to help her.
Once April officially chose life the response from her community was tremendous. In addition to our support, April family and friends all contributed to preparing her for the new life she’d bring into the world.

We’re pleased to introduce baby SJ, who was named in honor of her late father.
