Claudia's Story

Claudia was a single mom of five who worked hard to provide for her family. Then, Claudia’s life was upended when her mother began to suffer from frequent seizures.

Without hesitation, Claudia quit her full-time job to care for her mother. The sacrifice was worth it, but Claudia struggled to single handedly care for her mother and children. Just when she thought she couldn’t bear any more responsibility, Claudia discovered that she was expecting her sixth child.

Claudia scheduled an abortion appointment because the thought of a pregnancy, at this time, seemed impossible to handle.

Then, on the morning of the procedure, a sidewalk counselor referred Claudia to Let Them Live.

Claudia connected with one of our counselors and confessed that she felt she was derailing. Her mother’s condition was worsening, and the entire situation put her on edge. Claudia was losing hope.

But Claudia’s counselor persisted, and in time, Claudia’s circumstances shifted.

Claudia’s cousins began to help care for her mother; who, also started receiving effective treatment for her illness. Meanwhile, Let Them Live provided Claudia with the emotional and financial support that she needed to endure her pregnancy and prepare for sweet Serenity.
