Delaney's Story

Meet handsome baby Brady!

Delaney was twenty-years old and trying to live independently; she was recently laid off and not receiving her unemployment checks when she found out she was pregnant. Things were complicated in her relationship with the baby’s father and she had concerns about telling the other people in her life. 

Delaney wanted to make the decision of whether or not to keep the baby on her own rather than being influenced by family and friends. Knowing that she could never give her baby up for adoption, she decided that the decision was between an abortion and keeping the baby. When she had her first call with her Let Them Live counselor, Savannah, Delaney already had her abortion scheduled. 

After an encouraging call with Savannah, Delaney was able to tell her mother about the pregnancy and decided not to attend her abortion appointment. As her pregnancy progressed, Delaney received support from her mother, Savannah, the Let Them Live team, and of course her wonderful donors. By September 26, when baby Brady was born, she was so excited and even shut her phone off for a few days just to bond with her precious son!
