Francesca’s life seemed to get increasingly difficult right around the time she found out she was pregnant. Her car was totaled, and she and her partner were facing eviction and dealing financial setbacks due to unemployment. Not to mention she was sick from the pregnancy. Francesca knew from the beginning she wanted to keep her baby and her partner was very supportive. However, Francesca was receiving pressure from her social worker to abort. She was told she was being selfish to bring a baby into a stressful situation like Francesca was facing. At first, she was very excited when speaking to her counselor from Let Them Live but things started to get even more complicated with her financial situation and Francesca started to believe that maybe she was being selfish to bring this baby into the world and scheduled an appointment to talk about abortion options.

Even so, Francesca’s team at LTL was not about to give up on her. Together they were able to develop a plan that made Francesca feel like she was capable of bringing baby Norah into this world and taking care of her! Francesca’s life started to look up; she began applying for jobs and looking for housing. She was thrilled when she found out that her sister was also expecting. With goals and support Francesca felt like a new person! And Francesca was so thrilled that after an easy delivery she got to hold little Norah that she had fought so hard for!
