Lidia's Story

Meet Lidia's baby
boy,
Eli!
Lidia's Story:

Such a happy baby! Eli is here today because his mother was strong enough to choose life amidst truly bad circumstances.

Upon discovering she was pregnant, Lidia decided to marry the father of the baby. Unfortunately, he soon turned very abusive toward her and had to have the police called on him, leading to a restraining order. Lidia was forced to find a new place to stay, but had no long-term solution.

Lidia eventually scheduled an abortion for her 27-week baby in hopes of cutting ties with the father completely. Still, she reached out to us in hopes that we could do something about her situation.

With the overwhelming support she received, Lidia reconsidered her decision and cancelled her abortion!

Over time, Lidia received the counseling and financial assistance she needed to confidently give birth to Eli on July 4th, 2022. Now, Lidia is doing very well and even trying to make amends with the father. We are so proud of Lidia for how far she has come!
