Taya's Story

James was saved from abortion because we supported his momma!
Taya worked as an exotic dancer, and when she called Let Them Live she did not expect to receive any sympathy or support for a woman in her line of work. Instead, she expected the cruel judgment that she had grown accustomed to.
Our team picked up the phone to an anxious voice that wavered with every word, and ultimately, broke down in a sob.
Taya did not want to have an abortion. As a mom of two, she knew the joy of having children but she also knew the struggles of being a single parent and that she was about to lose her job. Taya was terrified of what would become of her family, and she feared we would reject her.
Over the course of their call, Taya’s counselor soothed Taya’s fears and reassured her that we would support her and baby James without exception.
Ultimately, Taya chose life because you showed her that she is worthy of love and support no matter what.
