Alice is a mother of two children, one 8 and the other 3, and is currently in school for a job in the medical field. Shortly after discovering she was pregnant again a few weeks before Thanksgiving, she scheduled an abortion for Saturday, December 10th.*

Alice had a stable job, but had to quit when the morning sickness from her pregnancy became too much to handle. She was originally able to receive daycare, but this opportunity was lost when she had to leave her job. The burdens of losing her job while in school, having no support from friends and family, and having to take care of two kids while pregnant with a third is overwhelming to her.

Alice recently spent Thanksgiving alone with her children, as she has lost contact with her family. A friend asked her to join her family’s Thanksgiving, but she didn’t want to impose. To make matters worse, that friend is encouraging her to go through with the abortion. In reality, Alice and her kids have no real support network.

Additionally, Alice has not had any contact with the father since finding out she was pregnant and has not received any form of child support for her two other children. Due to his own medical issues, he is not required to help financially and does not have an active role in their lives. Alice does not have friends or family to turn to and talk to about her pregnancy. She has applied for numerous social and medical services, but has been unable to receive anything beyond the most basic needs.

Alice came to believe she had no other choice but to schedule an abortion. But on her way out of scheduling one, she was referred by a sidewalk counselor to Let Them Live.

Alice is incredibly grateful to finally have someone to talk to about all the trials she is facing. She broke down and said that she absolutely does not want to get an abortion, but didn’t see any other way out of her situation. Thankfully, she has been receptive to our support so far!

Alice has said that the only way she can officially choose life is if she has assistance. She needs a community to lean on. Together, we can be the strength she needs for her, her children and her 15-week unborn baby!

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Alice can confidently carry her baby to term:
Pregnancy and job / financial counseling | Childcare | Medical Expenses | Other Related Expenses
Note: These expenses may be adjusted in the future based on additional expenses incurred during and after her pregnancy. With your help, we can save Alice and her 15-week baby from abortion! Donors will receive updates on Alice and her baby throughout and after her pregnancy.
