“I began having panic attacks.”

This was how “Annalese” described her reaction to the news of her pregnancy.* The timing could not have been worse. She and the father had recently separated, and he expressed total indifference when she told him the news. With the father gone from her life, Annalese began feeling the weight of her situation with each passing day.

She had a full-time job before she had her three kids. But due to no longer being able to afford daycare for all of them, she had to quit. She has not been able to find another job and has had to live off of savings, which have rapidly plummeted in the past few months. Affording basic needs like groceries and gas has become a huge challenge. Keeping up with rent and car payments has also caused enormous stress. Knowing that she would eventually need to provide for another baby, Annalese began to grow increasingly hopeless. The thought of abortion horrified her, but she reached a point where she believed that there was no other option. With a broken heart, she scheduled an abortion on August 26th. Fortunately, when she went looking for resources, a pregnancy resource center told her about Let Them Live. Annalese decided to make contact, and she was soon speaking with our counselors.

“I know that abortion is wrong,” Annalese told us, “but I am all alone. What else can I do?” Sadly, many mothers like Annalese have found themselves in a similar position. She truly does not want to abort and knows that it will haunt her forever. But her situation has led her to believe that abortion is her only choice. But we can help her make the choice she truly wants to make. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to choose life for her precious baby!

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Annalese can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
