URGENT: Teen Mom schedules 12-week abortion December 16th

Aria is a young mother of a two-year-old with an abortion scheduled on Saturday, December 16th.* When she found out she was pregnant, it came as a total shock. The father is not someone she knows very well or with whom she has much contact. She has not told him about the pregnancy yet, as she does not believe he will be much help to her. The situation with her family is similar. When she assessed her situation, she began to strongly consider abortion.

Aria is currently unemployed and has had difficulty finding work. She had to leave her previous job when she no longer had help with daycare. She does not have her own vehicle and relies solely on public transit to get around. 

Though she has been able to take advantage of government assistance, it is barely enough for her to pay bills and afford basic needs. Her family and friends are not in her vicinity and she does not have any real connections in her community. Faced with financial strain, uncertainty about the future, and lack of physical and emotional support, Aria scheduled the abortion.

Around the time Aria made the appointment, one of her friends found out about her situation and recommended Let Them Live. Aria decided to reach out and was soon speaking with our counselors. She explained that, “This pregnancy was a shock and came at a rough time. I don’t work and I’m already trying to raise another child.” Aria has found herself in a situation that many mothers face: abortion is the only option due to difficult circumstances. 

But it does not have to be this way. If we stand with Aria and meet her needs, we can not only show her how much she and her baby are valued, but we can give her the confidence to choose life for her precious 12-week baby!

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Aria can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
