“Brittney” is a mother of four and is currently 24 weeks pregnant.* She was quite happy about the news, and so was her boyfriend. Everything in this new phase of life was off to a good start. But as her pregnancy progressed, things began to take a turn for the worse.

Due to experiencing severe morning sickness and a number of other health issues, Brittney was let go from her job. Her money began to run out, and she became afraid of an impending eviction notice. She recently lost her car and has not been able to find more work. Her relationship with her boyfriend slowly deteriorated, and he became indifferent to their situation. Eventually, he told Brittney, “Just let me know the time and date, and I’ll pay for the abortion.” This was the last thing Brittney wanted to do. But as the bills kept coming and her sickness kept her away from work, she began to lose hope of finding another way. With great reluctance, she began actively scheduling an abortion. During the process of researching clinics, she came across Let Them Live. After learning about what we do, she decided to reach out.

“I just want a roof over my kids’ heads,” she explained to our counselors. “I don’t believe in abortion. But I just don’t think I have a choice.” Brittney’s story is sadly all too common. She wants nothing more than to have her baby and provide a good life for her family. But the challenges she is facing have led her to believe that abortion is the only choice. It does not have to be this way. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to do what she truly wants: choose life for her precious baby.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Brittney can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
