“Caitlyn” is a mother of two with a loving husband, James, and is working her way through college. When Caitlyn first became pregnant, they were overjoyed. But in the span of a few days, everything they’d worked to build suddenly fell apart. Out of money and facing homelessness, Caitlyn scheduled an abortion.*

Before Caitlyn’s pregnancy, she and James were living paycheck-to-paycheck. With two children to feed and Caitlyn’s tuition, bills pile up fast — but together, they were making it work. They had faith it could work with a third child, too, if they put in extra effort.

Then everything changed. A health issue left Caitlyn hospitalized. Thankfully her baby is fine — but Caitlyn’s doctor ordered her to stop working. That same day, James was laid off. With Caitlyn and James both out-of-work, they found themselves in financial crisis. They fell behind on rent and car payment and now can barely afford necessities.

Caitlyn tried to be strong. But when they received an eviction letter, something inside her cracked, and any hope she had left was lost. Desperate and out of options, Caitlyn scheduled the abortion.

Around this time, Caitlyn discovered Let Them Live on Facebook. She told our Pregnancy Counselors that, because of her financial struggles and the thought of her other children becoming homeless, she believes she has no choice.
