Eve is a young mother of two and is currently 7 weeks pregnant. * The news of the pregnancy brought back many painful memories. Growing up in an verbally abusive home, her relatives tried to take away custody of her kids. Though Eve won the fight, it left her emotionally exhausted. Some time after, her boyfriend became abusive and she left the relationship. But when she found out she was once again pregnant, she felt completely trapped.

Eve tried reaching out to the father in desperation, and he did not take well to the news. He refused to take them in and even offered a sum of money to help pay for an abortion. Eve had experienced the pain of abortion before and did not want to imagine going through it again. Despite this, her circumstances did not look good. She was working a physically demanding job before having to leave due to medical reasons. This time away from work led to her losing her house, and she would not be able to resume the same job while pregnant. This has resulted in Eve’s finances dwindling to the point of barely being able to get by.

Her fears about the future and doubts about her ability to overcome her circumstances led Eve to schedule an abortion. Fortunately, Eve remembered Let Them Live. She discovered us a while ago and donated on occasion. Now that she had become one of the very moms who has reached out for help, Eve decided to do the same. It was not long before she was speaking with our counselors.

"I never thought I would be in this position," she told us. Eve has known trials before and did not expect to be where she is now. All she wants is to be financially stable, in a place of her own, and with a job to be able to provide for her family. She truly does not want to go through the pain and trauma of abortion again. If we stand together, meet her needs, and give her much-needed love and support, we can save her from this choice. We can give Eve the means and the confidence to do what she truly wants: to choose life for her precious baby.
