Fara is a mother of a young daughter with an 10-week-old baby on the way.* She was working in a secure and well-paying job for years before unexpectedly being let go. When she was pregnant with her daughter, she tried to obtain a pill abortion, but she was too far along in her pregnancy. The father was initially scared and hesitant, but when she was born, he became a loving dad.

But when Fara became pregnant again, his reaction was not the same. He cut her off emotionally and expressed that “there is no way we can afford another baby.” To make things more complicated, they all live together in a small one-bedroom apartment in a very expensive city. Fara has remained unemployed but makes a tiny salary from babysitting. The father has a job, but it is not enough to meet the family’s daily financial needs.

With her living and financial situation causing her ever-greater despair, Fara scheduled an abortion. When she made contact with Let Them Live, she explained that she is afraid of surgical abortions and wants to take the abortion pill before the baby is too old. Fara also said that if finances were not a problem, she would not consider abortion at all.

We don’t believe money should determine whether a baby lives or dies. If we stand together and provide for Fara’s needs, she will have the confidence to choose life for her precious baby.
