URGENT: Without her consent, Fiona’s boyfriend schedules an abortion for her on May 4th

“I’m not going to be there for you.” This is what Fiona’s boyfriend told her when she told him about the pregnancy.* Panic immediately set in. She has two other children, and the thought of raising them and another baby without help scared her. This fear was only made worse when her boyfriend scheduled an abortion for her on May 4th without offering to pay for it.

Though this is not something Fiona wanted to do, she looked at her situation and became even more fearful. In addition to being abandoned by her boyfriend, Fiona does not have any friends or relatives nearby who could help her. This lack of support has made her feel hopeless and alone. She has a full-time job that stops for a portion of the year, and Fiona is very afraid of not being able to pay rent and cover basic needs. Her health has also fluctuated at times and she feared that a pregnancy could be high-risk. Despite her reluctance about abortion, she gradually came to accept that abortion was her only real choice. As she made plans to go to the appointment her boyfriend scheduled for her, she discovered Let Them Live and made contact.

“I don't know how I'll cope with it,” Fiona told our counselors. “But I have no one and I can’t afford a baby in this economy.” Fiona’s fears are all too common. Like so many mothers in her position, she has come to believe that abortion is the only choice she has. But we can help her make the choice she wants to make. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to choose life for her precious baby.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Fiona can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
