“Francesca” is a young mother of three and is currently 10 weeks pregnant.* When she first found out, she was excited about the prospect of having another baby. But when she told the father, he promptly told her to abort, left her, and severed contact. “I never expected he would just up and leave me,” she later said. “I thought he would be as happy as I was.”

Without his support, things rapidly fell apart for Francesca. She fell behind on rent, and affording food, clothes, and other basic items for her kids became a huge burden. Despite having a job, it has not been enough to cover more than the barest essentials. To make things even more difficult, she has no support from friends and family. The more she thought about having to provide for her family alone, the more afraid she became. It soon became too much and, with great reluctance, Francesca scheduled an abortion on December 4th. Shortly after making the appointment, she discovered an ad for Let Them Live on Facebook. After learning about what we do and believing that there might be hope after all, she reached out to us.

“I don't know how there will be enough food on the table,” she told our counselors. “I want this baby so much, and an abortion would shatter me emotionally. But what else can I do?” Like so many mothers we have helped, Francesca wants nothing more than to have her baby and provide a good life for her family. But her difficult situation has led her to believe that abortion is the only choice she has. It does not have to be this way. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give her the confidence to do what she truly wants: choose life for her precious baby!

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Francesca can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
