URGENT: Mother of 5 living off of spare change schedules surgical abortion on Feb. 11th

Lisa is a young mother of 5 with a 12-week baby on the way*. She received some college education, but after having difficulty finding a job in her field, she entered the food service industry to make ends meet. Her job has unreliable hours and she sometimes barely gets enough for a decent paycheck. The father bounces from job to job, and between the two of them they are having difficulty providing for everyone.

When Lisa found out she was pregnant, the father vehemently insisted on abortion, even going so far as to phone an abortion clinic for her to make an appointment. Lisa refused until she could discover other options, though the father is against this. She has already had 3 miscarriages and is very afraid of abortion. The family is currently living in a house owned by Lisa’s mother, but because she has fallen far behind on paying rent, she is concerned that they may be kicked out. Her mother told her, “If you're not going to be able to pay me back and pay the mortgage I'm going to sell the house.” Lisa also once had a car she and her family were very pleased with, but it is currently not working. 

Despite her fears, the financial stresses of Lisa’s life and pressure from the father gradually pushed her to schedule a surgical abortion. Thankfully, she learned about Let Them Live through a women’s resource center. Our counselors told her that they will do whatever they can to help her choose life and avoid the terrible trauma that abortion inflicts. If we stand with Lisa, we can meet her needs and get her and her baby back on their feet.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Lisa can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
