URGENT: Impregnated by Abuser, Luca Schedules Abortion by State Deadline, Saturday July 16th

Let Them Live is actively counseling Luca, who is 10 weeks pregnant and has an abortion scheduled for Saturday, July 16th*. This is the last week she has to get an abortion in her home state legally.

Luca was a young mother of two, in a very dangerous marriage. After years of violence, the abuse reached its peak, and Luca’s husband was arrested for severely beating her. Luca filed for divorce soon after.

Although their separation was imminent, the criminal court proceedings held up the process. After weeks of delay, Luca’s husband was imprisoned and she was finally free. Luca and her children could live in peace.

This is what Luca thought anyway, until she discovered she was pregnant by her abuser. 

Luca wants to choose life, but she is struggling. The pain of her past haunts her and financial instability is consuming her. Now, she is facing the aftermath of her divorce and wrestling with an unplanned pregnancy all while struggling to put food on the table.

Luca is facing the dilemma that so many abortion-minded mothers face: "Do I abort my baby and care for the kids I already have? Or do I struggle while pregnant just to struggle even more when the baby arrives?"

We want to help Luca care for all of her kids, including the baby growing in her womb right now. 

Since Luca needs help getting back on her feet our plan is to help her catch up on her bills and provide a safety net for her and her children, while she secures a new job. Additionally, we will connect her to local pregnancy and material resources as well as our in-house financial counseling services. By partnering with us, your donations will have a huge impact on Luca and all three of her children.

We’ve budgeted $30,000 so that Luca will have the direct support she needs. But we need 500 supporters to donate $60 each in order to fully support Luca and her children.
