URGENT: Unemployed and trapped in a bad relationship, McKenzie schedules an abortion on March 22nd

“McKenzie” is a young mother of three and is currently 10 weeks pregnant. * When she began experiencing sickness on a regular basis, she began to suspect that she was pregnant. Her doctor confirmed it, and a single thought flashed through her mind: “What am I going to do?”

No one in McKenzie’s life is there for her. Her baby’s father struggles with mental illness and is largely unable to offer financial and emotional support. He is also abusive and she does not want him in her life. Unfortunately, her family is also not able to help in any way. She recently had to stop working due to her morning sickness, which has caused her to fall behind on rent, car payments, and her family’s basic needs. She has tried desperately to find work, but it has proven to be very difficult. What little money she has left in savings will soon be gone.

McKenzie began to consider abortion, which was something she never expected to do. The mounting fears and uncertainties became unbearable, and she reluctantly scheduled an abortion on March 22nd. When she told one of her friends about it, her friend mentioned Let Them Live. After explaining what we do, McKenzie quickly reached out to us. 

When McKenzie spoke to our counselors, she said something that many mothers in her situation have said: “I wouldn’t even think about abortion if I could support myself. But I feel like I can’t survive without it.” Despite the difficulties McKenzie is facing, we can come together and help meet her needs. If we show her that she is loved and not alone, she will have the confidence to choose life for her precious baby.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that McKenzie can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
