URGENT: Abandoned by Her Fiancé & Facing Eviction, Mom of Two Schedules Abortion Friday, Nov. 18th

“Monica” is a single mother of two who is 12-weeks pregnant with a third child. Due to a recent eviction and her fiancé leaving them, Monica has an abortion scheduled Nov. 18th. But we can help her choose life.*

Monica, her fiancé, and their two children were living in a townhome together. When she found out she was pregnant, her fiancé was supportive at first. But this all changed when he relapsed on alcohol. His drinking became worse, until eventually, he walked out. What’s more, Monica discovered he hadn’t been paying their bills — instead, the money was going toward booze. Now, she and her children are facing imminent eviction.

To make matters worse, Monica was laid off from her job, lost her car due to financial troubles, and the eviction notice says she has one week to leave. Bills are piling up fast, and although she’s been borrowing money from family, it is not enough. 

She was recently offered a full-time job only five minutes away. She wants to take it, but the pay is entry-level and she won’t get paid fast enough to avoid eviction. Thankfully, Monica discovered LTL through a Facebook group. Together, we can be the support she needs to stay in her townhome and choose life for her baby!

Monica wakes up every day wondering where she and her family will live. Her fears about not having a place to raise her new baby have convinced her to go through with abortion. Monica told her LTL counselor that her biggest concern is a home for her family — she said if she wasn’t being evicted from her townhome, she would not get the abortion.

Together, we can help Monica get caught up on bills, get back on her feet financially, and above all, help her choose life for her baby!

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Monica can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:

Note: These expenses may be adjusted in the future based on additional expenses incurred during and after her pregnancy.
