URGENT: Pregnant with twins and couch-surfing between friends and family, Norah schedules chemical abortion on March 15th

“Norah” is a young mother of two with aspirations to enter the medical field.* When she received news that she was not only pregnant, but pregnant with twins, she had a mixture of emotions. She was excited at first. But the excitement gave way to worry as she thought about her current situation.

The babies' father reacted with indifference when Norah told him the news. He seemed neither for it nor against it and left it in Norah’s hands. Her family was shocked. All of them told her the same thing: “Why would you go through with this pregnancy? You should just get an abortion.”

But the more she looked at her situation, it started to seem like abortion was the only choice. She has been couch-surfing between friends and family, and her morning sickness is so severe that she has been unable to work. On top of this, she has no vehicle of her own. Her homelessness, unemployment, and lack of transportation left her feeling like she had to choose abortion. Reluctantly, she made an appointment on March 15th. Thankfully, one of her friends told her about Let Them and suggested she reach out. 

"I can see myself having two more babies, but I don't know how I can do it with my situation right now," she told our counselors. “All I want is a safe place to live, childcare, and a stable income.” Norah is a sweet and hard-working woman who does not want to abort. But like so many mothers in her position, she has come to believe that abortion is the only way out for her. 

If we stand with Norah, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can show her that there is another way. Together, we can give her the confidence to do what she truly wants: choose life for her precious babies.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Norah can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
