URGENT: Help Olivia, a Mom of 3 Living in Section 8, cancel her abortion on May 29th

Olivia is a mother of three and is currently 8 weeks pregnant.* When she found out she was pregnant, she had mixed emotions. Her husband wants her to keep the baby, despite being out of work. He was injured on the job and has been awaiting disability payments for some time. This situation has led to financial instability. Olivia struggles to pay essential bills and often lacks food, and the high cost of living and limited resources further compound her distress. But her greatest concern is her environment.

The family currently lives in section 8 housing in the heart of gang territory. Utilities are on the verge of being shut off, and the neighborhood is plagued by violence, frequent break-ins, and gunshots. Her car was recently shot through with bullets to the point of making it unable to drive. Her kids can’t even play outside most of the time, and Olivia is constantly concerned for their safety. As if this wasn’t bad enough, Olivia and her family have no support apart from one another. She was at one point receiving help from her grandmother, but their relationship has become toxic.   

Despite her husband’s support, Olivia’s situation feels so hopeless that she scheduled an abortion. She lives in a state where access to abortion is very easy. Thankfully, she also discovered Let Them Live and was referred to our counselors. Olivia is a smart and logical woman who wants nothing more than a safe environment where her children can play freely without fear. But with all her troubles, she has come to believe that abortion is the only option.

Many mothers are in Olivia’s situation. But if we stand with Olivia, we can show her that there is another choice beside abortion. If we stand with her and support her, we can give her the confidence to rise above her circumstances and choose life for her precious baby.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Olivia can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
