URGENT: 17 Year Old Pregnant with TWINS Schedules Abortion Monday, March 14th

Let Them Live is actively counseling an 11-week mom, Sophia, who is a 17-year-old high school student and pregnant with twins. She lives with her parents and may soon be homeless if she chooses life for her twins. She has an abortion scheduled Monday, March 14th.

Sophia thought that her current boyfriend, Tim, was “the one.” He was the last person she expected to bail when her pregnancy became known. Unfortunately, he did bail, and he was not the only one who would disappoint Sophia when she needed support the most.

After Tim left her, Sophia was terrified. How could she parent on her own? She disclosed the news of her pregnancy to a close friend and her friend told her about Let Them Live.

Sophia gave us a call, and in her small, child-like voice, she told her Let Them Live counselor about her heartbreak and her fears of being a teen mom. When asked if she would choose life, with our support, she sheepishly replied, "Yes, ma'am,” but then she hesitated. She had not shared the news of her pregnancy with her parents. Their response could change everything.

Later that day, Sophia had an ultrasound to see her baby for the first time. When she called her counselor back, she was feeling worse than before. She discovered that she is expecting twins! 

Sophia’s counselor knew that, with your support, Sophia wouldn’t have to struggle on her own, so she reassured her that we were here for her no matter what.

Sophia went home and told her parents about everything— the news of her pregnancy, her boyfriend leaving her, and the surprise of the twins. Sadly, her parents’ response was worse than she expected. They shamelessly expressed their disappointment and informed Sophia that she will have to move out of their house within a couple of months.

Now Sophia is more fearful than ever and believes abortion may be her only option.
