URGENT: After suffering abuse, lost income, and no support, Whitney schedules an abortion on April 24th

Everything was going well with Whitney, her boyfriend, and her three kids.* But when Whitney found out she was pregnant, things began to go downhill. He became abusive to the point where Whitney and her three kids moved out. She filed a restraining order, but this was not the end of her struggles.

The father has made it clear that he will not be of any emotional, physical, or financial support to Whitney. She is afraid that the abuse will continue after the birth and still does not feel safe. Due to the lack of friends or family in her area, she has no one else to help her. Whitney has had to take fewer hours at her job due to the pregnancy, which has caused her financial situation to collapse. Affording rent, bills, groceries, and other needs has become increasingly difficult.

Her concerns about safety and finances caused her to consider abortion for the first time in her life. After agonizing over the decision, Whitney reluctantly scheduled an abortion on April 24th. Shortly afterwards, she discovered Let Them Live on a Facebook group. 

“Between missing work and the abusive father, I have no choice but to abort. I hate that I have to do it, but I don’t see any other way,” Whitney told our counselors. Sadly, like so many mothers in her position, she has come to believe that abortion is the only choice she can make. It does not have to be this way. If we stand together, support her with love, and meet her needs, we can give Whitney the confidence to do what she truly wants: choose life for her precious baby.

Here are the expenses that our crisis pregnancy counselors identified so that Whitney can confidently carry her pregnancy to term:
